This photo was taken at 1600 ISO, and had a really bad case of noise. When you look at the larger version you will notice it most in the background blur and the subject's face.
This is the same image after running it through the ISO noise reduction plugin in the GIMP (Gnu Image Manipulation Program). As you can see, I still need to work on the brightness levels and saturation, but the background and side of the subject's face are much clearer and less pixelated.
