Some images are SOOOO much better in B&W (IMHO). This photo was taken in very low light at 1600 ISO (lots of noise). For color images noise sucks, but in B&W, I think it can actually contribute to feeling and atmosphere. It makes the shot more edgy.
This is the same picture in color. I did the normal things when I converted it to JPG including a lot of noise reduction and usharp mask. The big question is, which one of these do you like best?

The black and white is so cool. It really brings the focus of the shot to the forefront. I took the shot you have of Javier with another player and changed it over to B&W and it really changed the focus. Holly LOVES taking B&W shots. I think they really make an impact.

I know that some images look better in B&W, I am just trying to figure out what it is about them that makes this so. I am thinking it is at least partly due to the contrast and maybe the emotion in the image. What do you think?
