The picture I selected for today is of a wild daffodil I came across while roaming on a nature trail here in Union. There was not much else interesting (at least to me) on this outing although as you might guess that didn't stop me from snapping more that 70 photos. The thing that made this photo stand out when I downloaded it to the computer was the strange bluish purple background blur. After examining it a bit and making an attempt at correcting it, I found that I liked it better with the strange tint. In fact, I increased the blue filter a bit.

Although I really like this image, it does not meet the stringent criteria necessary to qualify for upload to istockphoto.com. The reason is that the flower itself is not perfect. Advertising designers (the main people who purchase from istockphoto.com) want images that are better than real life. In my opinion the not so perfect petals on this flower is makes the image great.
As usual, all comments are welcome.
