Another great show at The Old Rock House!
This show was a stop on the Yellow Umbrella Tour featuring Auset, Christine Baze, and the headliner Sarah Bettens. In the US Sarah is best known for her partisipation in the band K's Choice. From what I have been reading, she has a huge following overseas and performs in huge venues to thousands of fans. My wife and I were very lucky to get the chance not only to see her perform, but to get some images as well. Another cool thing was that we got in as guests of the bass player Eric Grossman who I got to know through a mutual friend.
Both of the opening performers were good, but Sarah Bettens was AMAZING!!! She really ROCKED the house. This venue is a great place to photograph musicians. The stage is high and large for a good view, the lighting is better than most, and the management doesn't hassle you about your camera. The only drawback is the thick clowd of cigarette smoke that penetrates everything including your lungs and equipment.... I really wish they had a bit better ventalation. If they did, the place would be perfect.
