I got tired of waiting for a clear day to go find a huge "McChurch" to take a an image of for this assignment. I guess this will just have to do. Better late than never.
How I did it:I set up a makeshift light box on the dining room table using a few sheets of copy paper and a piece of glass to provide a flat sturdy base. I used available light from an overhead florescent (yes I said florescent) fixture and an LED pen light to provide some highlights. The shot was taken on my tripod with the center pole inverted and the camera mounted upside down. The lens I used was my Canon EF-50 USM f/1.4 along with a 12mm extension tube to allow closer focus. The only digital magic I did was to enhance the color and do a bit of smart sharpening. Here is the important EXIF data:
