I have been meaning to write up an entry dedicated to my new workflow/image processing software called Bibble, well this is not it. I do plan to write a review after I use it for a few more months. I bring this up because I found a cool feature that allows you to be VERY creative with converting images to B&W. It actually has algorithms that can simulate types of B&W film and printing techniques. Not being an expert on film processing, all I know is that it gives you amazing control over contrast, grain and exposure from the stand point of a B&W image instead of color.
I shot this with my Kenko 12mm extension tube coupled with the Canon 50mm f/1.4.
Here is the EXIF Data on this image:
Camera: | Canon EOS 30D |
Exposure: | 0.25 sec (1/4) |
Aperture: | f/11 |
Focal Length: | 50 mm |
ISO Speed: | 100 |
Exposure Bias: | 0 EV |
I am really starting to appreciate the texture you get with B&W. Sometimes color gets in the way and hides an objects true form.
