Have you ever noticed that when you look through your camera's view finder the first think you focus on is not necessarily someone's eyes or something that happens to be located at one of the 1/3rd points of the frame? Many times for me the first thing I focus on will be something that appears closer to me or is shiny or intricate/complex in design. When thinking about this recently I decided to experiment with making a few images in which I would focus the camera on the first thing my eye focused on. The image above is my first attempt. I like that when I glance at it the head of the guitar appears to be extending out of the image like a 3d movie.
