New Lights

Well I finally pulled the trigger and purchased a light kit for my studio. The features I was looking for are as follows:

  • Minimum of two heads
  • Minimum of 150 watt seconds each
  • Modeling lights synced with flash power levels
  • Fine adjustment on power levels
  • User replaceable bulbs and flash tubes
  • Audible full charge indicator
  • Switchable flash sensors
  • Compatible with a wide range of third party accessories
The Interfit Photographic two head EX150 MKII kit fit the bill perfectly and had the best price. It also included two air cushioned light stands, a shoot through umbrella and a 24"x24" soft box with a silver liner and one baffle.

The reviews I read on this kit were mostly good with the big complaint being that the heads and associated hardware were not extremely heavy duty. After putting the kit together I find it completely adequate for my purposes.
